EDITORIAL
A European circuit, a unanimous press, a boat that
seduced investors and businesses but also fundamentally the talented
skippers who are passionate about sailing, 2009 has marked a great
turning point for Longtze Yachts, launched in May
2008.
The Longtze Yacht team, buoyed by the success
and the enthusiasm aroused amongst both professionals and
amateurs, is now looking towards the 2010 season with an even
bigger fleet and new owners whom we welcome with great pleasure into
the class.
On the programme, an enticing menu of
regattas: the European Tour is of-course on again (presentation at
the Paris Salon Nautique), but also the Longtze Student Cup, a
5-event championship open to schools, universities and faculties
whose kick-off is March next year. Not forgetting the Asian circuit
and the regattas organised in Hong Kong.
You will
find all the detail on our activities in this newsletter and on our
new website www.longtze.org.
A more user-friendly and detailed site, with new sections (notably a
new multimedia owner’s guide), to inspire you to pursue the
adventure or to simply get yourself out on the water.
In the meantime, all the Longtze Yacht team will be
at the Paris Boatshow from the 5th to the 13th of December. We hope
to see you there very soon.
From all the team at
Longtze Yachts.

The Longtze Student Cup
circuit
The Longtze Student Cup circuit was born from the
enthusiasm for the Longtze from a group of students and from the
interest created by the Longtze European Tour. Why not, then, launch
an annual circuit dedicated to students? The idea has matured these
last months. Today, directed by the LSC Management, the circuit is
the result of negotiations and partnership between the students’
associations of the schools in Lyon, CPE Lyon, EMLYON Business
School and Longtze Yachts. The circuit kicks off in March 2010 with
the Hydro’s Cup and is open to schools, universities and faculties.
It is also a great communications and hospitality vehicle aimed at
businesses…with the same principle inaugurated with the Longtze
European Tour : highly visual hulls and sails in the partner colours
!

Hats off to -
The Longtze European Tour 2009 !
What to say about the excitement
that reigned on the waters of Lake Constance in the last reaches of
the Bodensee Cup and the Longtze European Tour 2009 : it was in
rounding the last mark of the last lap of the last regatta that
clinched both the event and the championship.Suffice to say that you
needed nerves of steel and a clear head! In this match it was
Lufthansa (Luc Gellusseau) who surprised everyone coming to the fore
in Switzerland. Just behind Nicolas Béranger (Kone), Eckhard Kaller
(Wet feet) and Erwan Tabarly (Athema).Numerous Swiss teams equally
showed their expertise, with Andréas Benz and Wieland Jarmo
regularly in the leading group. To see the best moments on the
